Stephanie Sinclair

Stephanie Sinclair (US), based in Beirut, Lebanon, is known for her work on gender issues and human rights. Her clients include The New York Times Magazine, German Geo, Stern, Time, Newsweek, and Marie Claire among others. Sinclair was recently awarded UNICEF Photo of the Year and the professional grant by the Alexia Foundation for World Peace the for work on child marriage. The Visa Pour L’Image festival in France, World Press Photo foundation and FiftyCrows International Fund for Documentary Photography have also recognized her for work abroad. While on staff for the Chicago Tribune, Sinclair was awarded a Chicago Bar Association award for work on the Illinois death penalty that resulted in a state moratorium on capital punishment. She was also part of the Tribune team that won the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for documenting problems in the airline industry.
