Registration
Registration is first come first served; however, we will reserve a number of slots for scholarship winners and for Latin American photographers. Attendance at this workshop is not merit based, though we do ask that photographers — whether amateur or professional — be committed to photojournalism, passionate about visual storytelling, and ready and eager to push themselves and learn. The instructors have made one very important request: no egos! Students should be familiar with their equipment (this is an all digital workshop), bring their cameras, a laptop & their favorite post processing software. The workshop cannot furnish any equipment.
To register:
Registration has two parts: portfolio & statement submission and paying tuition.
ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED BOTH OF THESE PARTS (REGISTRATION/PORTFOLIO SUBMISISON AND PAID TUITION), AND RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM US, YOU ARE ACCEPTED INTO THE WORKSHOP AND COMMITTED TO ATTEND. YOU ARE NOT ACCEPTED UNTIL WE HAVE RECEIVED BOTH YOUR REGISTRATION MATERIALS AND YOUR TUITION.
The workshop is open to all and is first come first serve. You are accepetd into the workshop once you have completed registration AND paid tuition. Right now we do not have a limit on number of students, but this may be imposed in the future, depending on student enrollment numbers.
Keep in mind that :
A. You are NOT accepted UNTIL we receive registration AND tuition. Many people have asked if they can pay later; the answer is yes, of course, but you are not accepted into the workshop until payment is received.
The portfolio & statement requirement are not merit based; rather, they are simply to help our instructors build a better knowledge about abilities, talents, ideas and goals of all students.

4) Refunds: Schedules change, assignments come up, emergencies happen. We understand. However, refunds are limited. The reason for this is that the closer to the workshop the date becomes, the more costs we have incurred in organizing, booking and preparing the workshop.

BETWEEN February 1, 2008 and March 1, 2008: 50% refund via Paypal
AFTER March 1, 2008: NO refund, but you can get a full credit for next years workshop.
*We reserve the right to cancel the workshop if we do not receive enough students/participants enrolling to make the workshop viable. If the workshop is cancelled, full refunds will be issued minus any costs accrued up to that point, including Paypal fees.
